CPU PnP

Open BIOS

Press Del key when you see Press Del key to show system settings.

CPU Plug and play

The Pcchips M590 has BIOS software controlled voltage and multiplier so you can set the CPU settings in on screen instead of moving jumpers. Set this option to specify the CPU PnP by auto or User Define.

CPU Brand

The CPU Brand is detected by BIOS ,therefore, this option can not be changed by the user (display only).

VCCore Voltage

Set this option to select CPU core voltage when CPU Plug and Play option is set to user define.

CPU Speed

Select a correct CPU speed to match your CPU when CPU Plug and Play option is set to auto.

CPU Base Frequency

Set this option to select CPU Frequency when CPU Plug and Play option is set to user define.

CPU Multiple Factor

Set this option to select CPU Multiplier when CPU Plug and Play option is set to user define.

So what does all this mean and how do I use it?

The CPU has a frequency  ex. 100 MHZ and if you then have a 450 MHZ CPU you will set the CPU Multiple Factor to 4.5X, that means you have a 100 X 4.5 CPU that is 450, if you have an 333 CPU with base frequency at 83.3 you need to set the multiple factor to 4, should be 3.99 but that is not possible so you get about 337 MHZ.

Setting VCCore Voltage

The for AMD CPU's that is more then 233 MHZ use to be 2.22 V, set it to 2.23 for better performance NOTE You might burn the CPU if you use to high voltage but 2.23 should be safe.

send me an e-mail if you have any questions on how to set the CPU.
